Tinariwen osvojili 'Uncut Music Award 2009'!

Najsvježije novosti iz tabora Tinariwena više su nego odlične; ekskluzivna vijest iz redakcije uglednog britanskog časopisa Uncut stigla je nedavno, nasljednik albuma "Aman Iman" iz 2007., novi album Tinariwena "Imidiwan: Companions", njihov četvrti po redu album, izabran je za najbolji album 2009. godine! Dobitnik nagrade "Uncut Music Award 2009" bit će objavljen 24. studenog 2009. godine.

Godišnja nagrada Uncuta odabire se među 25 izabranih albuma koji su izdani u posljednjih 12 mjeseci, a zatim se od užeg izbora od ukupno 8 izvođača odabire album pobjednik. 2009. godine to je "Imidiwan: Companions" malijskih bluesera Tinariwen.

Od ukupno 25 nominiranih izvođača među kojima su se našli i Bob Dylan ('Together Through Life'), Animal Collective ('Merriweather Post Pavilion'), Arctic Monkeys ('Humbug'), Kings Of Leon ('Only By The Night'), The Low Anthem ('Oh My God Charlie Darwin'), Madness ('The Liberty Of Norton Folgate'), Wilco ('Wilco (The Album)'), The xx ('xx') i drugi, u uži krug od ukupno 8 albuma ušli su:

• Animal Collective – Merriweather Post Pavilion (Domino)
• Bob Dylan – Together Through Life (Columbia)
• Dirty Projectors – Bitte Orca (Domino)
• Grizzly Bear – Veckatimest (Warp)
• Kings of Leon – Only By The Night (Columbia)
• The Low Anthem – Oh My God Charlie Darwin (Bella Union)
• Tinariwen – Imidiwan: Companions (Independiente)
• Wilco – Wilco (the album) (Nonesuch)

'Uncut music award' dodjeljuje se jednom godišnje za "najinspirativniji glazbeni doživljaj" u posljednjih 12 mjeseci. Isti će zagrebačka publika doživjeti u utorak, 10.11. u klubu Aquarius.
